A recent survey by ICDL-Arab, the organization responsible for disseminating ICT skills and safe use of the Internet in the GCC, Iraq and Egypt, 2 included 404 students aged between 14 and 18 years of age States that 54% of UAE teenagers do not realize that online harassment is a crime punishable by law. While 60% of the respondents reported online harassment among their peers, and 64% reported that they did not have enough knowledge about online harassment or were unsure of its definition.

Due to the lack of educational and entertaining content in Arabic for children on the Internet, attention is being directed to the creation of specialized websites that meet the needs of children and their families for the existence of innovative, safe content that contributes to the formation of a future generation of educated youth with the ability to carry forward the future banner with an open mentality Conscious without being influenced by extremist and suspicious ideas. This is why we launched "Shabol" in 2013 as the first Arab site to bridge the gap in the content of educational and entertainment Arabic safe for children on the Internet.
Shabol is a dedicated learning and entertainment platform for children aged 6-14 and provides secure online learning resources in the Middle East and North Africa region. Our vision at Shabloul is to develop rich and interactive Arabic content with a focus on achieving a safe educational goal for children.
